Our principal optometrist Mr Alex Petty is an accredited examiner for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This means he is able to provide a special eye report for your next pilot's medical, clearing your eye health and vision so you can fly.
A CAA pilot's eye examination has some different components to other eye examinations. Crucially during the exam we will use eye drops to dilate your pupils to better examine the back of the eye. These drops make vision a little blurry and last for 3-4 hours, so we recommend bringing a driver to take you home after the examination.
Fees for a CAA pilot's eye examination can be found here.
